About This Artwork:
29th January 2019, Brazil woke up with another dam collapsing. A Vale reserve of toxic leftover material crashed near the city of Brumadinho, Brazil. 241 people were found dead, and 29 are still missing. Paraopeba river which was the main source of food and water for The Pataxó Hã-hã-hãe Indigenous people is intoxicated. No hope for recovery. The environmental crime happened 3 years after a similar tragedy in Mariana (Brazil) where a dam of the same company collapsed killing 19 people and contaminating a river bringing death even far away to the ocean...
Each of my artworks is strongly experimental, unique, and unrepeatable.
After the paintings are finished, they are covered with a special varnish to protect them from dust and direct sunlight.
